Introduction

The 2 days Basic Occupational First Aid and CPR Training Course is customized to train the average workers or layperson to become a qualified First Aider. The participants will be taught on basic life support skill such as CPR & Choking and other first aid related topics such as bleedings & wounds, burn & scald, fracture & spinal injuries. The program consists of theory presentation, practical session and life-like simulation (casualty make-up) to equip the participants not only knowledge, but also the skill to handle various emergencies.

Customized Module : Blood Borne Pathogen Training
Blood borne pathogen course is a classroom course that teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials.

The extra module is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for blood borne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

This extra module is designed for anyone with reasonable chance of coming into contact with blood borne pathogens such as first aiders, health and fitness club staff, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, hotel housekeepers, school personnel, tattoo artists and etc

Objective

Upon completion of this programme, the participants will be able to :

  • Perform Basic Life Support Skill such as CPR & Choking
  • Understand the importance of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to increase survival rate
  • Understand importance of protect themselves from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials
  • Understand the Usage of Blood Borne spill kit
  • Render First Aid Management for various injuries such as bleeding, burn, shock, fracture, spinal injuries and etc
  • Become a Qualified First Aider & comply with legal provision: Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994

Chiew Oon Leong is a competent trainer who channels his energy in being involved in the field of safety and emergency care. His training for 10 years allowed him to sharpen his knowledge and skills with regards to different subjects related to Safety & Health function, including First Aid, AED and CPR. In fact, he is an accredited instructor of the Emergency Care of Safety Institute, USA. Chiew is also adept in the field of Maintenance. His active presence as the Officer- in- charge of the Highway Emergency Ambulance Services improved his technical skills regarding emergency and non- emergency services. With a combination of lively presentation skills, experience and exposure, knowledge and attitude, Chiew is definitely one of the authorities regarding Emergency Care and Safety.
