Introduction

This training program is subjected to the factories and machinery act (Noise Exposure Regulation 1989) where section 27 of that regulation requires management to provide an awareness training program to all its workers who are exposed to high noise levels. The proposed aim is to provide the necessary information and to caution workers from having a permanent hearing impairment. The regulation clearly stipulates that it is a must for workers to repeat the training session every two years.

It is important for the Management to understand the act and show their commitment towards compliance. Workers also must play their role by complying and demonstrating their cooperation towards the management’s efforts.

For this reason, we recommend the above training program which has been carefully designed for all who are exposed to high noise. The program consists of theory and practical demonstrations and video presentations, and lectures conducted either in Bahasa Malaysia or English to suit the participants’ requirements
