Introduction:

A program that allows participants to identify, utilize and understand their responsibilities and execute fire emergency responses based on statutory regulation and requirement.

The program ensures that participants understand the overview of confined space requirement. The program will allow the entrant, entry attendant, or permit supervisor to safely and confidently understand and evaluate the hazards and procedures associated with confined spaces. It will help the participant to differentiate between a Permit-Required confined spaces or a Non-Permit- Required confined space. It will address the hazards associated with confined spaces and it will outline the duties and responsibilities of all members of a confined space entry team, emergency rescue procedures, and plan development. In addition to confined space entry procedures and hazards, the program will also discuss the need for appropriate personal protective equipment and the selection characteristics for each level of protection.
